Areas of Practice

Divorce, Support and Custody

No case can impact human lives and emotions as a family law dispute can.  From the time of the first filing in a divorce, through stages that run as far as deciding sharing of college expense, Dan  sees his job as getting clients the help from others as they need it so they can be ready to meet the challenges of litigation or mediation in this area of law.   After handling these kind of cases for years Dan  is a good listener and tries to help a client get through some tough times.

Court Trials & Defense Work

Dan’s work can be in a wide variety of cases that actually need a trial to close out the dispute. He has tried personal injury, property dispute, condemnation, foreclosure for landowners and business –to-business disagreements. for any client he serves.

Are you or someone close to you charged with a crime ?  Has some part of the government sued you?  Dan’s knowledge and experience in the courtroom will serve you well.

Personal Injury Claims

Dan has tried a number of personal injury cases before local juries.  He is experienced in dealing with insurance companies after a client is injured in a car incident or in other circumstances  where “fault” lies with another party .   Dan will understand the impact such injuries have on a person and their family.

Estates, Wills & Guardianships

It is a very delicate time when a loved one passes away or is older and needs the help of a Guardian due to some incapacity or illness.  Dan has  been through these experiences  in his own family.  He is always glad to meet with individuals, young or old to make or revise a Will or future distribution plan to meet the wishes of a client.

Eminent Domain/Condemnation

When the state or local government serves you with a “Notice” to appear in court because they want to condemn some of your land is can be a day of some anxiety for you. Dan has handled and tried  these cases involving widening of I-65, the Ohio River bridge corridor and several other landowner clients who need help.  This is a complex area of the law and Dan Moore can be a very helpful guide for you

Economic Development Work

Dan visited the Congress and the Pentagon several times to negotiate the transfer 8500 acres of the former Charlestown ammunition plant to local control, which was a 5-year project ending with a transfer bill signed by the President in 1998.  A new addition to the state park system also came with river front acreage from that facility.  River Ridge Commerce Center is the result of that facilitator work by Dan.  It is becoming known as one of the most attractive business centers in the Midwest.
